Queen Letizia of Spain has wardrobe-wowed us once again – looking effortless as ever in a fitted red pencil dress that is thought to be by one of her favourite designers, Carolina Herrera. The Spanish royal stepped out for an appearance with her husband King Felipe and daughters Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía to mark the 13th centenary of the reign of Asturias on Saturday, and the chic but classic midi dress was the perfect choice for the occasion, we reckon.

Letizia teamed her look with a matching envelope clutch bag, and simple nude slingback heels – styling her sunkissed hair into loose waves. Leonor and Sofía, meanwhile, looked sweet as ever in their signature co-ordinating style – opting for sweet Chanel-esque tweed dresses and adorable ballerina flats by Pretty Ballerinas.

The Queen of Spain has often been compared to our very own Duchess Meghan when it comes to her style choices – with many seeing plenty of similarities between the two royal's wardrobes. Case in point: when Meghan wore a gorgeous dark blue Stella McCartney cape gown to the Queen's 92nd birthday celebrations – the exact piece Queen Letizia wore to the Innovation and Design Awards way back in February 2017. The royal pair also share a love of cosy oversized coats and tailored tuxedos – and who can blame them?

During the same visit, the Spanish royals also took a hiking trip to the National Park of Covadonga's Mountain – and even then the family looked picture-perfect as they posed in their casual gear. Have you ever seen a chicer outfit for a day outdoors? We love Letizia's neutral trainers – but how she kept that crisp shirt so immaculate we'll never know…
