Crown Princess Mary of Denmark was giving us serious Stevie Nicks vibes when she attended an event in New York on Monday wearing a gorgeous '70s-inspired billowing silk blouse. The 46-year-old royal was celebrating Denmark's achievements in sustainability, and to mark the occasion she went for an incredible tunic-style blouse which featured huge bell sleeves and a high neckline. It featured an unusual patchwork-style print featuring different floral motifs in various shades of orange, peach, cream and navy.
The Crown Princess stood out from the crowd in this unusual blouse
She added a slim navy leather belt over the loose blouse to define her waist, and finished off the look with a pair of skin tight navy trousers. Accessories-wise, she opted for a pair of gorgeous teardrop-shaped statement earrings and some elegant being court shoes, and carried a small black leather clutch bag. The mum-of-four wore her brunette hair sleek and straight, and went for a striking dark eye and pink lip combo. During the event, the royal jokily looked nervous as she cracked open a can of Carlsberg, and toasted to the amusement of onlookers before having a sip.
The Crown Princess is originally from Australia, and married into the Danish royal family when she married Crown Prince of Denmark Frederick in 2004. The royal recently gave a speech to celebrate his 50th birthday, telling him: "You are a positive person, and easily moved to laughter. And you are not stingy with your laughter… or your jokes for that matter. And often the two come together, you always laugh (a lot) at your own jokes."
She continued: "And I have simply lost count of the amount of times that you have told the same joke over and over again, it is as if you are trying to continuously perfect how they are delivered." Mary continued to reveal that whenever they go out for dinner, when the waiter comes over to ask if they are finished their meal "you can be dead certain that you will answer, 'No, no I'm Danish'. Every time, and laugh every time."
