The Countess of Wessex looked incredible on Tuesday afternoon as she was welcomed by Sir Hugh Taylor at the opening of the new rare diseases unit at St Thomas's Hospital, London. Meeting with staff at the establishment, Sophie looked in great spirits as she chatted to workers. We couldn't help but notice her fabulous outfit - which consisted of a stunning silk wrap dress by Diane Von Furstenberg. Priced at £424, the flattering design was made in a caramel-toned shade that looked wonderful against her English rose complexion and was emblazoned with large white polka dots. It was cut with a tie waist and boasted a deep V-neckline. She wore her trademark blonde locks loose and added delicate stud earrings and a pair of velvet high heel shoes in the same brown hue.
Sophie looked gorgeous in polka dots
It appears that the mother-of-two has a penchant for polka-dots, which is lucky as they are a huge micro trend this autumn. Last month, the wife of Prince Edward attended the Women's World Cup finals at Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre which was held at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London.

Dressing for the sweltering heat wave, the royal wore a sleeveless polka-dot dress, also in a brown tone, by high-end Italian designer Prada. Cut with an on-trend, crew neckline and a hem which finished just above the knee, many commented that it looked exactly like the frock Julia Roberts character of Vivienne wore in iconic film Pretty Woman.
The 53-year-old added a pair of 'Carolina' brown espadrilles by Penelope Chilvers – her favourite shoe brand of the summer - a pair of black Rayban sunglasses and finished with Sugar Stack citrine earrings by Tiffany & Co.

Speaking of royally-approved gems, we always like to see what jewellery Sophie will rock during engagements and last month we noticed she often wears a pair of aqua marine studs from Monica Vinader which are priced at an affordable £115.
