The Duchess of Cambridge's coats are so stunning we want them all!

November 21, 2017

It may be a new year but the coldest winter snap is yet to come with the 'Beast from the East' set to return (shivers in office chair). If you're after a stylish new coat to fend off the freeze, look no further than the stunning Duchess of Cambridge for some style inspiration. The Duchess owns a wide array of outerwear in almost all styles, colours and silhouettes and looks amazing in whichever coat she dons, be it a chic buttoned-up number or sophisticated coat dress

The Duchess looked stunning on Christmas Day 2018 in this festive red coat by Catherine Walker with a gorgeous velvet collar and pocket detail. The royal matched her accessories to the coat too, with a red Bayswater clutch by Mulberry and a trusty pair of burgundy Gianvito Rossi heels. She teamed her outfit with a 'Halo band' headband by Jane Taylor London.

Kate chose this elegant grey coat dress by Catherine Walker for the sombre occasion of paying tribute to those who were tragically killed in the Leicester City Football Club helicopter crash in November 2018. The Duchess' outfit featured a black statement collar and large black buttons down the front.

The royal looked so glamorous in this sky blue coat with high collar and chic hat and gloves. The busy mum wore the outfit on a visit to Sweden and Norway in February 2018.

We just loved Kate's vibrant red and white dog tooth patterned coat! She wore the gorgeous coat back in January 2018 on her tour of Sweden and Norway. Cute clutch bag too!

Looking suitably stylish in bottle green, The Duchess opted for a bespoke Catherine Walker design as she visited France for two days during March 2017. The striking coat proved to be an eye-catching piece, particularly with the over-sized velvet collar and cuffs. She added co-ordinating bottle green shoes and a crocodile textured clutch.

The Duchess of Cambridge looked stunning as she wore a strikingly bold, black classic double-breasted coat complete with statement gold buttons by British high-end designer Alexander McQueen, on Remembrance Sunday, 12 November. She teamed the military-inspired coat with a black fascinator and a red poppy.

Duchess Kate showcased her chic, lady-like look in a double breasted twill blazer in periwinkle blue, by Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini. She wore the blazer with an all-black outfit, which pepped up the look and gave it a gentle pop of colour. The mother-of-two also has the design in a ravishing red.

The pregnant mother-of-two visited the Commonwealth War Graves on the outskirts of Ypres, Belgium, and wore this stone-coloured, pastel coat by Catherine Walker, a designer that was a firm favourite of her late mother-in-law, Diana, Princess of Wales. The coat boasts a lace hem with intricate embroidery, and a full-length zip.

The Duchess looked particularly radiant and fresh in a white, knee-length coat by Goat. She wore the cover-up on a visit to Hornsey Road Children's centre in London on 14 November. She added a simple black clutch bag and on–trend long line boots by Stuart Weitzman. A bunch of blooms proved to be the perfect accessory!

On 5 April, mother to Prince George and Princess Charlotte wore a daring choice of outerwear- a Missoni long-line coat that featured a bold, zig-zag pattern. The Duchess favours striking hues as opposed to patterns typically, so this fashion choice was a welcome change and suited her slim physique.

Working one of her favourite variations on her coat collection- the coatdress, the pregnant wife of Prince William stepped out in a typical royal blue belted design by Eponine London as she visited the Anna Freud Centre for Children and families on 29 January. She held a Stuart Weitzman clutch and a simple silver watch.

The pregnant duchess turned once again to one of her favourite designers Alexander McQueen, as she joined the Duke of Cambridge to mark 100 years since the Battle of Passchendaele on 31 July. The white coat dress included folder over lapels and a slim fit cut, with a defined waist.
