Spain's Queen Letizia has surprised royal fans with her latest outfit, stepping out in Córdoba in a bold floral dress with retro-inspired shoulder pads.
The royal looked ready for spring in her new look, which is a little different to the more sleek, modern looks many are used to seeing her wear.
Letizia's new outfit is from affordable Spanish label Cayro Woman, costing €96.90 (or around £85). With bright florals, a nipped-in belted waist and those statement shoulders, we can see why the Queen fell in love with it.
Many royal fans have likened the look to the silhouettes that were popular in the 80s – in fact, it is even similar to some of the styles that the late Princess Diana was once famous for wearing.

Like many bold fashion choices, it has divided some opinions – though most royal fans only had warm praise for the Spanish monarch. "I really like this dress, it’s such a bright and fun print. For all the 80s vibes of the dress, it’s fun and looks good on Queen Letizia," one wrote on Instagram. Another disagreed: "I usually love her style but this is too much 80s…"
Queen Letizia has also continued to proudly sport her natural grey hair strands, in a move that has widely been commended. "Is she letting her greys show? If so, well done!" another Instagram commenter wrote.
Actually, the royal has been happily letting her grey hair show on camera for many years now, and is thought to have embraced her greys during the coronavirus lockdown, like countless others.
