As we leave behind a summer of fabulous royal style, we look forward to autumn and the sartorial choices the colder weather will bring.

The month of September has started positively with a welcomed update from the Princess of Wales regarding the conclusion of her preventative chemotherapy for cancer. The royal looked radiant in the touching family video filmed with Prince William and their three children.

Across the pond, the Duchess of Sussex has been spotted in the first of her autumn/winter neutrals, while the Duchess of Edinburgh flies the flag for transitioning summer brights into the chillier months.

Princess Charlene of Monaco and Queen Mary of Denmark are leading the way when it comes to stylish Euro royals, and the month is not over yet.

Queen Mary of Denmark looked splendid when she stepped out for a visit to the Health Care Nurses with the Mary Foundation wearing a twisted Victoria Beckham blue blouse with a jazzy floral skirt.

She accessorised her look with the timeless 'Ellipsis 105 Nude Python Pumps' from Gianvito Rossi, as well as matching pearl jewellery from Dulong. Her hair was styled in bouncy waves.

Duchess Sophie

Duchess Sophie looked fabulous at a reception celebrating the UK-Tanzania partnership in health in the 'Halliday' ruffled dress from Zimmermann which featured bell sleeves and a crew neckline. Her sandy locks were swept up into an understated updo.

Princess Charlene and Prince Albert of Monaco inaugurated the new shelter in style

Princess Charlene of Monaco looked effortlessly chic in an unexpected chocolate brown ribbed co-ord styled with classic nude pumps to open a new animal shelter with facilities to accommodate up to 40 dogs and 50 cats in Monaco.

Queen Maxima re-wore her Valentino gown

Queen Máxima of the Netherlands co-hosted a gala for the Council of State at Palace Noordeinde in The Hague where she recycled her most beautiful Valentino gown from 10 years ago with tiered ruffles and a strapless neckline in an icy blue hue.

The garment was styled with a coordinating pashmina, as well as glimmering aquamarine jewels and a grey glittery clutch.

Princess Catharina-Amalia of the Netherlands was a pristine future queen in a cobalt mermaid gown by Alex Perry teamed with her mother Queen Máxima's Gianvito Rossi 'Gianvito 105 Navy Velvet Pumps' and a statement necklace at a gala for the Council of State at Palace Noordeinde.

Princess Beatrice rocked a vintage aesthetic with a polka dot dress, cropped jacket, and patent Mary Janes at the BGC Group Charity Day on behalf of the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund, and looked picture-perfect.

The Duchess of Sussex, 43, was spotted at an intimate gathering at a new bookstore in Summerland, Santa Barbara where she looked radiant in cream. 

She styled matching separates from Ralph Lauren with black suede pumps and Logan Hollowell's '18 carat Fortuna Tennis Necklace with Diamonds in Yellow Gold' which retails for $30,000.

The Princess of Wales, 42, looked radiant as she announced she had completed her chemotherapy treatment. In a video shot by Will Warr, the royal was seen in a dreamy boho dress - the 'Castella' style from Veronica Beard with the 'Esplar Metallic-Trimmed Leather Sneakers' from Veja.
