As Tom and Nicole’s divorce proceedings progress, the actress’s co-star from the movie Moulin Rouge has gone on the record to say that he never had an affair with her.
“I didn’t have an affair with Nicole Kidman,” said Ewan McGregor in a US magazine interview. “No. It was nothing to do with me.” The Scottish star of Trainspotting and The Phantom Menace also said that he was totally unaware that the Cruises’ marriage was in trouble.
“I had no idea,” he claimed. “No idea. And I haven’t spoken to her since, so I don’t know anything about it. It wasn’t anything to do with me.”
The flame-haired actress appeared in public for the first time this week, at the New York premiere of the film, which was shot in Australia. When asked about the break-up, Nicole remarked: “I guess it’s better to have loved and lost than not have loved at all.”
