Actress Catherine Zeta-Jones took a moment at Cannes to announce an upcoming comedy she plans to shoot in her native Wales. The Traffic star is joining forces with her brother Lyndon Jones to produce Coming Out, the story of a rugby club fighting to succeed after their coach dies and leaves his homosexual son in charge.

This is the first project Catherine will produce through Milkwood Films, the Los Angeles-based company she founded with her brother shortly after her marriage to Hollywood heavyweight Michael Douglas.

“I am thrilled to be part of the project and equally proud to be taking the film back to Wales,” Catherine said of the £5-million production. “I think Wales has immense talent both in front of and behind the camera, and I am excited about the prospects of this film.”

Her brother echoed her sentiments: “We’ve enjoyed enthusiastic support from people in Wales and we can’t wait to get down to work on the project.

Welsh-born Sara Sugarman of Mad Cows fame has signed on to direct the film. Catherine is also scheduled to appear in the film, though details of her role are unknown.
