Despite her penchant for black, a luminescent Angelina Jolie arrived at the LA premiere of Original Sin on Tuesday night in a flowing white dress complemented by her favourite accessory: her husband and fellow Oscar-winner Billy Bob Thornton. Spanish heart-throb Antonio Banderas, who co-stars in the steamy film, and his wife Melanie Griffith were also on hand, waving to fans and partying with fellow guests Sylvester Stallone, Jennifer Flavin and Jacqueline Bisset.

The film is set in Cuba at the turn of the century and stars Antonio as a wealthy coffee merchant and Angelina as his mail-order bride. And while Original Sin has received less than glowing reviews from critics, most agree that the film’s sizzling stars share an undeniable on-screen chemistry. The screenplay called for several scenes between the sheets, requiring parts of Angelina to be covered up, namely, her famous tattoos. “There is a make-up artist who has really had it with me,” laughs the Girl, Interrupted star.

Original Sin comes fast on the heels of Angelina’s blockbuster Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, which has already earned more than $125 million in the US. And while plans for a sequel are already in the works, the sultry star has decided to put off filming for a while in case she and Billy Bob decide to start a family. “I have this year and a half, two years between films in case I do… get pregnant,” says the 26-year-old actress. “We’ve talked about it a lot and I’m sure you’ll know, everybody will know.”
