Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow and her rumoured new beau Luke Wilson have been relaxing at a secluded hideaway on the Spanish island of Majorca. The two hooked up on the set of The Royal Tenenbaums and have reportedly been seeing each other ever since.

The 28-year-old star first arrived in Majorca three weeks ago, but left 72 hours later for Barcelona after rains dampened her plans for a tan. However, she and Luke, who appeared in the blockbuster Charlie’s Angels, later returned to the island.

“They have rented a boat to move from one little beach to another,” said one Majorcan inhabitant. “The island is full of semi-hidden little beaches and they made many stops. There is a group of them and they have been to local restaurants to try the typical Mediterranean food here.”

While Gwyneth may be enjoying the local cuisine, she reportedly wanted little to do with the natives. The Shakespeare In Love star is making waves with the lengths she seems to expect others to go to in order to guard her privacy. She is said to have asked police to set up a 10-mile exclusion zone around her holiday retreat to prevent the approach of any overenthusiastic fans. But, local police laughed off the request, with a spokesman saying: “Not even the King of Spain gets that sort of treatment.”
