When handsome James Bond star Pierce Brosnan married his longtime love Keely Shaye Smith last weekend at 800-year-old Ballintubber Abbey in Ireland it was a fairytale conclusion to their romance. The fact that the nuptials had been so long awaited – the couple were due to tie the knot on three previous occasions, but were prevented by circumstances and misfortune – made the day even more special.

Initial plans had to be called off after Keely and the couple’s four-year-old son Dylan Thomas were trapped in their Californian home for a week by floods. The second ceremony was cancelled after the 007 star’s 17-year-old son Sean was seriously injured after a car in which he was travelling plunged into a ravine. Then Keely discovered she was pregnant with their second son, Paris Beckett, who was born in February.

But last Saturday all went without a hitch, and HELLO! was there, of course, to capture the event – making sure its readers can share in the magic and happiness of one of this year’s most star-studded and glamorous weddings. And that issue, packed with 28 pages of pictures of the ceremony and an exclusive interview with the happy couple, is on sale today.

There will be further coverage of the reception, once more with exclusive pictures in next week’s magazine, out on August 14. But in the meantime be sure to keep an eye out for hellomagazine.com’s Pierce Brosnan and Keely Shaye Smith wedding special, due to be posted at the end of this week.
