Six Days Seven Nights actress Anne Heche married cameraman Coley Laffoon in a Unitarian service in the hills overlooking downtown Los Angeles on Saturday.
While her groom wore a Valentino tuxedo to the ceremony, which had an Indian-Moroccan theme, the 32-year-old star, previously the partner of comedienne Ellen DeGeneres, sparkled in an ivory Chantilly lace dress. Designed by Badgley Mischka, the cap-sleeved creation was embroidered with crystals and pearls.
The Ohio-born blonde met Coley, as he is known, about a year ago when he filmed a documentary about her ex-lover returning to stand-up comedy after her sitcom Ellen was cancelled. Anne split with Ellen in August 2000.
In an interview with the doyenne of interviewers Barbara Walters, Anne recently spoke about her unhappy childhood. She said she was abused by her father Donald, a church choir director and closet homosexual who later died of AIDS, from a very early age.
The actress went on the show to promote her autobiography, called Call Me Crazy, and will honeymoon with her new husband once she has finished a 10-city book tour.
