Notorious bachelor George Clooney has struck up a romance with the world’s most famous singleton, Bridget Jones, aka actress Renee Zellweger. The two were spotted sipping margaritas at the hip Casa Vega Mexican restaurant in Los Angeles and insiders say the two have been absolutely inseparable of late.

The couple shared an intimate two-hour meal at the famed hotspot, a favourite of Marlon Brando and Jennifer Aniston. And while George and Renee – Jim Carrey’s former flame – arrived in separate cars, insiders say they were very much together. “Once they were in the premises they couldn’t keep their eyes off each other,” reports one source. “It was very sweet.”

“They are definitely hanging out a lot and seeing each other,” says actor Tommy Hinkley, a friend of the former ER heart-throb. “I like Renee loads – she is such a fun, charming person.”

However, don’t expect George to walk down the aisle any time soon. “George said he won’t get married,” adds Hinkley. “I hope he settles down with her… But that is George’s choice.”

Reports of a romance between the two A-list stars first emerged in late April after the two were spotted canoodling at her 32nd birthday party. And while George was linked to MTV presenter Lisa Snowdon at the time, that didn’t stop the Batman Forever actor from pursuing Renee. “Ladykiller George made a beeline for Renee at the bash,” says one insider. “He refused to leave her side and danced with her cheek-to-cheek for more than an hour.”
