Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow bares it all in an upcoming fashion mag spread despite admitting she hates her bottom. The 29-year-old actress, whose latest film The Royal Tenenbaums just wowed audiences at the New York Film Festival, not only exposes her bottom in the piece but also the secrets behind her failed relationships.
“I’m a very sexual person,” says the Shakespeare In Love beauty. “I’m lucky if I get past six weeks. The make-or-break is six weeks.” But while the star admits she’s often chosen the wrong men, don’t expect her to give up on the opposite sex any time soon. “I love men, even though they’re lyin’, cheatin’ scumbags,” she says.
Gwyneth, now dating her Tenenbaums co-star Luke Wilson, lets readers of Harper’s Bazaar in on the basics for her ideal man. “He’s tall and thin, but muscular – to start with the superficial,” she says. “He must be a gentleman. Someone who’s well educated, funny, witty, artistic, with lots of integrity. He doesn’t have to grab all the attention. A good kisser.”
The celebrated actress has been linked in recent months with several suitors, including Chris Heinz – heir to the £400 million condiment fortune – and movie producer Jason Blum. And while she spoke freely about former flames including Ben Affleck and his stint in rehab – “It was absolutely the right thing to do… It was brave,” she says – one name remains decidedly off-limits: Brad Pitt. “I won’t speak about that ex,” she says of her former fiancé. The two met in 1994 on the set of the thriller Seven and soon got engaged. However, they later called off their wedding plans.
Gwyneth, who stars in a string of upcoming movies including the Farrelly brothers’ eagerly-anticipated Shallow Hal, is envied by millions. However, the star admits there’s one woman she’d love to switch places with: CNN correspondent Christiane Amanpour. “I think she’s just totally punk rock,” says Gwyneth of the high-profile news icon, currently in Pakistan reporting on global terrorism. “She’s brilliant and sexy and so cool.”
Shallow Hal hits screens across the US on November 9 shortly before crossing the Atlantic. The Royal Tenenbaums is set for wide release on Christmas Day before opening in the UK.
