Legendary performer Liza Minnelli is set to walk down the aisle with producer David Gest she says, happily sporting a 3.5-carat diamond ring.

“I’m so happy,” Liza told US tabloid the New York Post just after a stop at a posh Manhattan beauty salon. The impending nuptials will be Liza’s fourth trip to the altar.

Liza and Gest – the producer of Michael Jackson’s recent comeback concerts at Madison Square Garden – are said to be smitten. And customers at the John Barrett salon – located atop pricey Bergdorf Goodman department store and featuring expansive views of Central Park – say the diva was eager to spread the good news.

“She was just so over the moon,” reports one shopper. “She was pulling her robe off her shoulders, showing us how her wedding dress would look.”

Liza will reportedly make an official engagement announcement on Monday.

The Cabaret star – daughter of the late singer and actress Judy Garland – performed You Are Not Alone at the Jacko tributes and seems to be well on the mend. The Oscar winner underwent hip and back surgery in March and has since lost 30 pounds. And she suspects with the announcement she’ll drop even more.

“It’ll be so much easier to lose weight after this,” she reportedly said, adding: “But I feel healthy."

Liza split with her first husband Peter Allen in 1974, and soon married film maker Jack Haley. She later wed sculptor Marg Gero but the two called it quits in 1992.
