All-conquering, all-round star Jennifer Lopez was dazzling in white on Thursday night when she sashayed up to collect her latest accolade, Female Star Of The Year, at the flashy ShoWest 2002 Gala Awards banquet in Las Vegas.
The singer/actress will shortly be hitting the big screen in Enough, in which she plays a working-class waitress, and she has two more films on the go - a romantic comedy enticingly entitled The Chambermaid, and an action comedy called Gigli.
Bright white was the theme of the evening for the ladies, with mega-star Nicole Kidman and actress/director Jodie Foster also wearing snow-white outfits.
Nicole’s former husband Tom Cruise was present, but apparently the two chose not to chat to each other at the event.
The already-acclaimed Australian actress, whose career has recently been catapulted into mega-fame, was honoured with ShoWest’s Distinguished Decade Of Achievement In Film accolade, which she received alongside Lars von Trier, director of Dogville, the movie she is currently shooting in Sweden.
Tom, meanwhile, accompanied Steven Spielberg on stage when the director was presented with the ShoWest Lifetime Achievement In Film trophy. Tom stars in Spielberg’s Minority Report, which is due for release early this summer.
