Hollywood actress Geena Davis, famed for her role in the cult movie Thelma And Louise, has given birth to her first child, a baby girl. The 46-year-old star had her baby at a Los Angeles area hospital on Wednesday night. The name and weight of the child were not disclosed.
The new arrival comes just seven months after Geena married surgeon Rex Jerrahy at a ceremony in Long Island, New York – her fourth marriage and his first. Geena’s little girl is “beautiful and very healthy” said a spokesman for the couple. He added that after a normal pregnancy and problem delivery, the actress was “ecstatic” and that Rex was “very happy”.
The actress, who won an Oscar for her role in the 1988 film The Accidental Tourist, has a new film, Stuart Little II, due out this summer. She was previously married to restaurant manager Richard Emmola, actor Jeff Goldblum and director Renny Harlin.
