About A Boy’s Rachel Weisz has signed up ti Revlon’s impressive roster of spokesmodels, joining the likes of fellow film stars Halle Berry, Julianne Moore and Melanie Griffith. Her spokesperson has confirmed that the British-born teen model-turned-actress has already shot print and TV ads for the make-up giant.
The hiring of the gorgeous 32-year-old star, who was most recently featured in The Mummy Returns, comes as Revlon boss Ron Perelman quashed talk that Halle Berry would be let go over salary issues. The rumour was sparked when reports said the Monster’s Ball star, recently minted Academy Award in hand, bumped into Ron at a post-Oscar party and quipped, “Of course, now you'll have to pay me more.”
Both Halle and the Revlon chief deny the incident. “It simply never happened,” Ron told New York Post columnist Liz Smith. In early April, the cosmetics firm had an immediate response to the actress’ Oscar success and the supposed salary demand. “We’re delighted for Halle, and she remains under contract with Revlon,” said a rep for the company.
