Hollywood’s hottest couple Tom Cruise and Penelope Cruz made a spectacular entrance on Monday alongside a host of other stars at the premiere of the Mission Impossible actor’s latest movie, Minority Report.
Dressed in sleek black outfits, Tom and Pen posed for the cameras outside New York’s Ziegfeld Theatre and had a smooch before going inside to take seats for the showing. The flick is directed by Hollywood’s most successful filmmaker Steven Spielberg, and the meeting of two of cinema’s biggest forces on the same project means Minority Report is already being touted as the magical movie mix of the summer.
This futuristic thrill ride stars the 40-year-old actor as a cop living in a world where technology has progressed so far that crimes can be detected before they even happen – making Tom a target for a murder he has yet to commit.
“I had so much fun every day working with Steven,” says Tom. “As someone who loves movies, to be on the set and see Steven direct was amazing! To be a part of that was really special.”
Also starring Colin Farrell and Samantha Morton and with surprise cameos from Cameron Diaz and Vanilla Sky director Cameron Crowe, Minority Report opens in cinemas across the US on June 21 and in the UK on July 5.
