A British newspaper reports Angelina Jolie and her estranged father Jon Voight have patched things up, calling peace on their high-profile on-off feud. The split was made public earlier this week, during a tearful TV interview with the 63-year-old actor.
According to The Sun, however, Angelina, who is currently in the UK filming Tomb Raider II, called her father last week to arrange a meeting to discuss the issue. “After seeing how distraught he was, Angelina decided to get back in touch,” a source was quoted as saying. “They chatted and arranged to meet when she got back to the states.”
And it seems the actress, who is divorcing husband Billy Bob Thornton, has also been trying to get in touch with first hubby, Trainspotting actor Jonny Lee Miller, who she divorced in 1999. The Daily Mirror reveals she has been ringing the star’s Natural Nylon production company since she arrived in London.
A spokeswoman for the company, set up by Jonny and friends Ewan McGregor, Jude Law and Sadie Frost, confirmed the contact, but assures the situation is “strictly professional”. “We have offered a project to Angelina,” she said. “I couldn’t comment on whether Jonny has returned her calls.”
