Jamie Lee Curtis’s seemingly perfect bod has been part of her career for the last two decades. She famously exposed her breasts in the 1983 comedy Trading Places, performed a hilarious striptease for Arnold Schwarzenegger in 1994’s True Lies and showed sweat could be sexy in the Eighties aerobics flick Perfect. However, reveals the 43-year-old star in a new interview, things aren’t always what they seem.
“I’ve had a little lipo(suction), I’ve had a little Botox,” she confesses, referring to the anti-wrinkle injections popular with many of today’s stars. “And you know what? None of it works. None of it.”
In the interview with American magazine More, the actress says she’s coming clean because she didn’t want “the unsuspecting 40-year-old women of the world” to be deceived, adding: “It’s such a fraud.”
According to Jamie, her stunning figure isn’t so flawless is real life. “I don’t have great thighs,” she continues. “I have very big breasts and a soft, fatty little tummy. And I’ve got back fat. People assume I’m walking around in little spaghetti-strap dresses. It’s the insidious glam Jamie, the Perfect Jamie… And I’m the one perpetuating it.”
To put an end to the illusion, the mother-of-two poses in an unforgiving light in the photos that accompany the article, and chose to wear only a sports bra and knickers, and no make-up.
Jamie says her new revelation is driven by a recent stint in alcohol rehab. “In the recovery programme I’m in they talk about peeling an onion, exposing more layers,” she explains. “Now I’m sitting on my high hill debunking the very foundation that I sit on. Don’t think I’m not afraid of it.”
