Scooby Doo actress Sarah Michelle Gellar and her co-star in the film Freddie Prinze junior tied the knot in a hush hush ceremony atop a Mexican cliff top on Sunday, the star’s spokeswomen revealed on Tuesday. Sarah, 25, who met her 26-year-old husband-to-be five years ago on the set of I Know What You Did Last Summer, made her vows in a Vera Wang gown, while the groom wore a bespoke suit in linen.
Family and friends were invited to share the happy couple’s nuptials at a secluded estate near the Mexican resort of Puerto Vallarta, the exact location of which was kept a closely guarded secret. The couple announced their engagement in April last year and earlier this summer rumours abounded that they had wed in a Las Vegas ceremony.
In their most recent collaboration, the successful Scooby-Doo vehicle, Sarah stars as sleuth Daphne while her intended plays her clean-cut companion Fred. Sarah, who first came to fame in the cult TV series Buffy The Vampire Slayer, has had a series of roles in movies such as Scream 2 and Cruel Intentions.
