Celebrity couple Jude Law and Sadie Frost have become parents for the third time, after Sadie gave birth to a baby boy on Wednesday. Baby Rudy was born five weeks prematurely weighing just 5lbs 5ozs.
Sadie was with pregnant model Kate Moss at the London mansion she shares with Jude and their children – Rafferty, seven, Iris, 22 months, and Finley, 11, Sadie’s son from her first marriage –when she unexpectedly went into labour. With supermodel Kate in tow, the actress and fashion designer grabbed an overnight bag and rushed to hospital in a taxi.
The The Talented Mr Ripley actor heard the news while filming his latest movie Cold Mountain with Nicole Kidman and Renee Zellweger in America. Jude caught the first flight home to be at his wife’s side when she gave birth.
“When Sadie went into labour, it took everybody by surprise,” a source told Britain’s Mirror. “She went straight to the hospital. She was really concerned that Jude would not be able to make it back from the States to be there for the birth. It was really a race against time for him to get back, but he made it.”
A spokeswoman for the couple officially announced the birth on Wednesday night and said that both mother and baby are healthy.
