Actor Jude Law and his wife Sadie Frost have spoken about their two-year-old daughter’s health scare, after the little girl accidentally ingested half a tablet of ecstasy she found on the floor of a private club.
The celebrity couple issued a statement via a spokesperson, describing themselves as the “luckiest parents alive” after toddler Iris emerged from the incident unscathed.
“I am relieved to say that on behalf of Jude Law and Sadie Frost, that their daughter Iris has been given the all clear,” said the representative. “She is at home with Sadie and her brother Rudy, whilst Jude is away looking after their eldest son Rafferty.
“Jude and Sadie just feel like the luckiest parents alive, as no serious harm came to their daughter.”
The spokesperson went on to clarify that Iris received “appropriate medical attention” which did not include having her stomach pumped or a brain scan as previously reported. “This matter was dealt with by the police and is now in their hands,” says the rep.
Iris was rushed to hospital on Saturday during a children’s party at London private members’ club Soho House. The toddler apparently picked the ecstasy tablet off the floor of the venue, which had been used as a bar and nightclub on the previous night.
