New parents Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick brought home their newborn son James Wilke Broderick on Friday, leaving New York's Lenox Hill hospital after a five-day stay.
The 37-year-old Sex And The City actress and her Broadway star husband showed off their little bundle of joy outside the hospital where they were met with crowds of fans and photographers. "I'm well, he's perfect," Sarah said of her infant son, quipping: "Thanks for caring. It must be a slow news day."
As the family of three settle in to their Big Apple home, it's certain that tiny James won't be short on baby goodies. Among the luxury items given to the couple is a $2,100 Silver Stream pram by Silver Cross – which counts Buckingham Palace, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Celine Dion as clients – and a $699 Bugaboo Frog Stroller, both seen in episodes of Sex And The City.
Sarah's co-star Kim Cattrall says she had difficulty finding something "this baby doesn't already have" as she shopped for gifts. However, she adds: "The baby already has the most important thing of all – a great mum and dad."
