The mystery surrounding the rumoured engagement between Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck seems to be over after weeks of speculation. In an interview slated to air on Wednesday, the Latin diva has confirmed that she plans to tie the knot with the Hollywood actor.Jennifer, who split from her second husband Cris Judd earlier this year, tells TV journalist Diane Sawyer how the Armageddon star popped the question. "(It was) traditional, but also in a very spectacular way, as of course Ben would do it. It was very, very beautiful," she reveals.

Though she once worried the former beau of actress Gwyneth Paltrow was a "playboy type", he soon persuaded her otherwise. "He is brilliantly smart... loving, charming, affectionate. And I just admire him in every way... he is my best friend," she says.

The singer-actress, who counts rapper Sean 'P Diddy' Combs as one of her ex-boyfriends, admits that her relationship with 30-year-old Ben came as a surprise to many. "We talked about how people kind of see him with one type of person and me with another type of person," she says. "And the two of us together is like, 'How did that happen?'."

Twice-married J Lo won't be marrying her new love anytime soon, however. Her divorce from choreographer Cris won't be finalised until January, 2003.
