Jude Law and his wife Sadie Frost may become the latest British stars to abandon the UK for Los Angeles.
The couple have been looking for a home in Hollywood and are prepared to pay up to £5 million, on condition that it meets with one crucial specification. The property, says Jude, must have a lift in order to facilitate his fetish for midnight feasts.
"I tend to get up a lot at night and raid the fridge," said the 30-year-old. "So I want to give myself the quickest path to the kitchen." No doubt it takes a while to get down the stairs of his large Victorian residence in London when he finds himself in need of some nocturnal nibbles.
The Britpack star also has a luxury villa in Jamaica, but Tinseltown's lucrative film industry has been calling to him for some time now, so the move may have been inevitable.
Other famous Brits who have moved to LA include Gary Oldman, Malcolm McDowell, George Michael, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Anthony Hopkins.
