Sadie Frost is back in London after her marriage difficulties with husband Jude Law came to a head last week. The actress was hospitalised in Los Angeles after a reported suicide attempt which followed a series of rows with Jude.
Friends say she cut her wrists in a "cry for help" but thankfully no real harm was done.
The couple's marriage is said to have run into trouble after their two-year-old daughter Iris almost died after swallowing an ecstasy tablet. The child had found the pill on the floor of a London private member's club.
While friends say Jude does not hold Sadie responsible, he remains deeply troubled that the incident happened while Iris was in her care. "Jude was filming in Romania at the time," said a friend. "Though he has never blamed Sadie for the accident, he can't get it out of his mind… It's unreasonable and he knows it – but it's always there. When Jude came home from Romania he told Sadie he had concerns about the marriage and feared it was over."
The couple, who have three children together, tried to repair their marriage by taking a holiday to Thailand together, but tensions between them seem to have persisted. Sadie is thought to be staying at her mother's home in Shropshire, along with her children.
