George Clooney has revealed a secret desire that can only be satisfied by a British TV presenter. The 41-year-old has apparently developed an affection for Countdown presenter Carol Vorderman.
The Hollywood heart-throb was in London for the weekend to promote his new films Solaris and Confessions Of A Dangerous Mind. And he admitted he's become addicted to watching the afternoon gameshow on Channel 4."I've been watching Countdown in my hotel room," he said. "It's great but it really is tough. I try not to miss it and I really like the dark-haired girl who presents it. That girl is smart. She always gets the answers long before I do. God. She's brutal."
George also showed his generous side by slipping £50 to a homeless man in London's Regent Street. The actor was on his way into the exclusive Elysium club after the premiere of Confessions Of A Dangerous Mind when he noticed Ian Price shivering in the freezing night. George went over to cheer him up and decided to give him the money to stay in a hostel.
"He is a very generous man," said Ian afterwards. "I only expected a few coins in loose change. But he gave me £50 and I was able to get a bed for the night, otherwise I would have been left on the streets. I'll always be his fan for this. If I could afford it, I would even go and see his film."
