Hunky Irish actor Colin Farrell has been warned to curtail his hard-partying lifestyle for the sake of his career.
The star has reportedly received a letter from his agent, informing him that his wildman reputation may damage his future in cinema. "If this is how you want to be believed, so be it," said the letter from Josh Lieberman.
The 26-year-old has made no secret of his penchant for booze and womanising, but it seems he's starting to ruffle a few feathers in Hollywood. The actor, who is currently starring alongside Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner in Daredevil, has earned quite a reputation for his foul-mouthed interview appearances and late-night carousing.
"Hollywood is a notoriously uptight place," said one studio insider. "People here aren't even allowed to smoke in public. Swearing and getting drunk are frowned upon. Farrell says behaving like that in Dublin is fine, but here it isn't. People, especially important ones, don't like it."
Colin also raised a few eyebrows when he was spotted kissing Britney Spears after the premiere of his film The Recruit. The star later insisted they were "just mates", though both he and the pop princess complimented each others' kissing talents.
The actor has since rebuffed criticisms of his lifestyle, saying: "I'm just a 26-year-old guy who's single and having a good time."
