The infamously long Oscars ceremony can be daunting for any Hollywood star – and even more so if you're nine months' pregnant.
Best supporting actress nominee and expectant mum Catherine Zeta-Jones, whose due date is less than two weeks after the March 23 ceremony, will reportedly have an ambulance on standby during the red carpet event in case she goes into labour. The actress is thought to be planning to give birth at LA's Cedars Sinai Hospital – three miles away from the Academy Awards venue – where her two-year-old son Dylan was born.
Catherine has vowed that the fact that she has a baby on the way won't stop her from attending the glitziest show biz bash of the year. "They can roll me in on a stretcher if they have to," she said, admitting: "All I am worried about is my waters breaking. That would be so embarrassing."
At Sunday night's Screen Actors Guild Awards, however, the heavily pregnant star said her biggest concern was finding a pair of shoes and a dress that will fit. And as far as an early arrival for baby number two during the SAG ceremony? "This is enough action for one evening. The only thing I may be dropping tonight is this," she said, holding up her weighty supporting female actor gong.
