Irish hunk Colin Farrell has confirmed rumours that he's going to become a father. Speaking in an interview with British TV presenter Paul Ross, the Minority Report star said he was delighted at the news.
"It's true, yes, I'm going to be a dad," said the 26-year-old. "I haven't even told my family yet. It's so cool. I'm chuffed and over the moon." The mum-to-be is an as-yet-unidentified model.
The Dublin-born actor has earned a reputation as something of a hellraiser in Hollywood, but back home in Ireland he is known as a family man. And his Daredevil co-star Ben Affleck says his wildman reputation is blown out of proportion. "For all of those rumours of carousing and going crazy - he shows up at work everyday," Ben told reporters in the US.
Now earning $8 million a year, Colin says the thing he likes most about his newfound wealth is being able to look after his family in Dublin. It seems he'll now have another family to care for, as his new baby is due in six months time. And the "Celtic Brad Pitt" is relishing the prospect. As one friend of Paul Ross revealed: "Colin seemed genuinely excited and thrilled about becoming a dad."
