With stars such as Neneh Cherry and Atomic Kitten's Natasha Hamilton having performed on stage while pregnant, the fact that you're an expectant mum doesn't necessarily nix the possibility of entertaining an audience. And it seems Chicago star Catherine Zeta-Jones agrees.
Though the Welsh beauty is due to give birth just just two weeks after the Academy Awards, apparently she is hoping to sing the film's Oscar-nominated opening song at the ceremony.
It’s a tradition for the tunes nominated for best original song to be performed live during the glamorous event. And I Move On, which Catherine sings with Renee Zellweger on the Chicago soundtrack, has been shortlisted for the category. As the show's planners try and figure out a way for the Zorro star's wish to come true alongside her flaxen-haired co-star, Catherine does admit: "It's going to be hard, given my physical condition."
Other acts slated to perform are Gangs Of New York sountrack stars U2 and The Wild Thornberrys singer Paul Simon. One musician who may not appear, however, is Lose Yourself nominee Eminem. His record company says he's "taking time off" and will be a no-show.
