Having distinguished herself by winning two Oscar nominations this year, Julianne Moore is at the very top of her game. And it's not just in her work that she's enjoying a run of success, as her family life is going from strength to strength. Indeed it's a little ironic she received an Oscar nod for Far From Heaven because, as she tells Hello! magazine in an exclusive interview, Julianne's real life is a picture of domestic bliss.
With both the critics and cinema audiences singing her praises, Julianne has now decided to put her career on hold and concentrate on being a mother. She's planning to marry her long-time partner, the director Bart Freundlich, with whom she has two children Caleb, five and 11-month-old Liv.
"Bart and I have a pure and lasting love," says Julianne. "We have been very happy together from our first day as a couple. We enjoy being together, doing things with the children."
But it hasn't always been so easy, and the 42-year-old's first marriage ended in an acrimonious break-up. "I have nothing against marriage, but divorce is awful," she admits. "Mine was so horrific that I was reluctant to get married again."
