Antipodean glamour stole the spotlight at a distinctly English premiere at the weekend, when Aussie songstress Natalie Imbruglia wowed the crowd with a floor-length Valentino dress. The beautiful actress was joined by co-stars Rowan Atkinson and John Malkovich at the screening of spy spoof Johnny English in London's Leicester Square.
It is the 28-year-old's first major acting job since she abandoned hit soap opera Neighbours to embark on a successful singing career.
Natalie plays our hero's girlfriend in the flick, though her character is more than just a pretty face. "I said that I didn't want to be running round in a bikini," said Nat. "Instead I got to do all the tomboy stuff like doing most of my own stunts and I had a great time."
Rowan was similarly enthusiastic about his part, saying that Johnny English had some advantages over his previous characters. "Clearly Mr Bean couldn't expect to get that sort of love interest, but as Johnny English it's a different story," he joked.
The legendary comedian also made a memorable entrance, driving up the red carpet in his character's Aston Martin Vanquish.
