WEDDING BELLS MAY SOUND FOR GWYNETH PALTROW THIS YEAR

Mystery is surrounding the future of Gwyneth Paltrow's romance with Coldplay star Chris Martin, with one veteran New York gossip columnist providing details on the couple's wedding just a day after newspaper reports that the relationship had hit a snag.

The New York Post's Cindy Adams reports that the Oscar-winning actress and her rock star beau plan to tie the knot in late summer or early autumn. Plans are apparently already underway for the ceremony, which will be held at director Steven Spielberg's East Hamptons home. The filmmaker is reportedly set to give away the bride, as Gwyneth's father, producer Bruce Paltrow, passed away last year.

The news seems to contradict talk earlier in the week that the A-list pair are on the verge of splitting up.

The relationship is rumoured to be under strain because the two can't agree on where to live, the UK or the States. And just days ago, a London newspaper reported Chris and Gwyneth had a blazing row at her Belgravia home – the flat's open windows allowed bystanders to hear the argument – with the Shakespeare In Love star telling her fiancé: "I can't go on like this".

It is said that Chris then jetted out to Australia alone to continue his Coldplay tour, but in a turn that may bode well for the couple, the American blonde soon flew out to join him.
