September is looking set to be a bumper month for Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones: the high-powered Hollywood couple, who both celebrate their birthday on September 25, are christening their two children the same month in a special ceremony in Catherine's homeland, Wales.
Famous guests expected to fly in for the occasion include Tom Jones, Danny DeVito, Meg Ryan, Goldie Hawn and Steven Spielberg. But guest of honour will be Catherine's beloved 86-year-old grandmother, Zeta. The actress' second child, born on April 20 this year, is named Carys Zeta Douglas.
Little Carys will be christened at the same time as her toddler brother Dylan Michael, who turned three this month, at a yet-to-be-disclosed location in the Swansea area. To accommodate their illustrious guests, Catherine and Michael have booked all 20 rooms at the five-star Morgan’s Hotel – an imposing red brick and white stone building in the city centre.
And love is still very much in the air for Michael's father Kirk Douglas, and his wife, Anne. The two are to renew their vows in a religious ceremony next spring, 50 years after they married in a spur of the moment civil ceremony.
