As Colin Farrell excitedly awaits the arrival of his firstborn child next month, he's admitted that his work obligations mean he'll be on the other side of the globe when the little one makes his debut.
The Irish heart-throb will be in Morocco in September filming Oliver Stone's Alexander the Great saga at the moment when the baby's mother, model Kim Bordenave, gives birth stateside. "I really wanted to be there," he said. "It is a pain in the ass but I've got my head around it now because I've known about it for more than two months."
While the new arrival will be about two weeks old by the time Colin meets him, the dad-to-be says the two have already had a meeting of sorts – via ultrasound. "It's a fellah," he says. "I saw a picture of him and the little face on him… He's on the way Tuesday, September 12. I can't wait to get back."
Alexander, which also stars Anthony Hopkins, Jared Leto and Angelina Jolie, is set for release in the US in November 2004.
