Catherine Zeta-Jones has been strutting her stylish stuff in Italy, where her new flick Intolerable Cruelty will be screened at the Venice International Film Festival.
She stars alongside George Clooney in the film, which is the latest offering from the legendary directing duo Joel and Ethan Coen. Catherine plays a ruthless gold-digger who marries a philandering lawyer with the intention of making a killing through divorce. Things don't go according to plan, however, once she has wed the wise-cracking charmer.
And George and Catherine were just the latest in a series of big name actors to arrive for the festival. The event got underway with Woody Allen's latest offering Anything Else and Anthony Hopkins also came along for the screening of his new movie The Human Stain.
But despite the presence of many big names, Hollywood seems to have been snubbed at the world's oldest film festival. Emma Thompson's Imagining Argentina, which co-stars Antonio Banderas, was met with a frosty reception when it was shown on Monday.
And only one American movie is in the running for the main prize. 21 Grams which stars Sean Penn, Benicio Del Toro and Naomi Watts, will be battling it out with 19 mostly European films for the prestigious Golden Lion gong.
