Though Cameron Diaz surely received armloads of gifts as she celebrated her 31st birthday in Hawaii over the weekend, she also got a little something extra – a broken nose. The sexy blonde was surfing on Oahu's Waikiki beach with a pal and her older sister Chimene on Saturday when, following a wipe-out, another surfboard smashed into her face. It was the fourth time Cameron has sufffered a broken nose.

The actress, who showed off her surfing skills in the blockbuster Charlie's Angels: Fill Throttle, was especially unlucky in that the accident took place on the very first day of a two-week Hawaiian holiday with her family and friends. Fortunately, however, the renegade surfboard that hit the Hollywood beauty was made of foam, meaning the damage was much less than it could have been.

Though she's currently sporting a bandage across the bridge of her famous nose, there is no visible swelling and the adventure-seeking beach babe is apparently in for a quick recovery. "I'm fine," Cameron told The Associated Press. "But I'm just totally bummed out because I can't go surfing anymore."
