Billy Bob Thornton has had the name of his ex-wife, Angelina Jolie, covered with a new tattoo. The Oscar-winner insists there is no bitterness between himself and his ex, however, and his new piece of body art is intended as a gesture of conciliation.
"See the 'A' right there," says the 48-year-old. "That's where it said 'Angelina'. And those are the four drops of blood that represent the two of us and my boys. I had it covered up with an angel and it says 'Peace'. It's like my way of saying 'no hard feelings'." His decision comes just a few months after Angelina had the actor's name removed from the dragon on her upper arm.
The singer, who is currently touring to promote his new album, has also decided to omit the song Angelina from his gigs. "I think it's inappropriate," he says. "If I go sing that song for an audience, and I sing all this wonderful stuff about us and we've split up, it's not going to get a good reaction."
He has no regrets about his relationship with the Lara Croft star, however. "It doesn't hurt me because that relationship served a purpose in her life and it served a purpose in my life. I don't think either of us knows why we split up."
