Sharon Stone showed she's back on top form when she turned out for the premiere of her new film, Cold Creek Manor in Los Angeles. And the actress looked in her element as she strode up the red carpet with handsome co-star Dennis Quaid.
The film, which was directed by British filmmaker Mike Figgis of Leaving Las Vegas fame, is Sharon's first starring role in three years. "I thought it would be a good way to get back to work," she told waiting journalists. "I've always wanted to work with Mike Figgis. We've known each other for a long time and I think he makes such intriguing movies."
Sharon's return to the big screen comes after her split with husband Phil Bronstein and a life-threatening brain haemorrhage in 2001. "I think things are back in the swing again, I just needed to get away for a while to get some perspective," said the 45-year-old.
It wasn't the evening's only glamorous premiere, as just across town Beyonce was presenting her new flick The Fighting Temptations. In the film she stars opposite Cuba Gooding Junior as a single mother with questionable morals. The role is a far cry from the 21-year-old's squeaky clean image, but she is eager to prove herself on screen. "I'm becoming an actress, so the more depth to the character, the better," she said.
