Uma Thurman looked characteristically dazzling when she arrived for the UK premiere of Kill Bill in an elegant silver dress. But it seems everyone involved with the movie - including cameramen, grips and technicians - had to slip into slinky little numbers at one point during lensing of the film.
Apparently, during shooting director Quentin Tarantino declared a "dress day" in which every member of the crew had to come to work wearing a gown. And it seems the film-maker's penchant for dressing up has now spread to other movie sets.
"My crew is now working with Martin Scorsese on his new film, The Aviator," revealed Quentin. "They've demanded, on Martin Scorsese's set, to have a 'dress day'. So I have carried on the tradition of 'dress day' to Martin Scorsese's movie!"
The renowned director may have some trouble convincing his leading man to wear a dress if his dream of making a Bond movie with Pierce Brosnan comes true, however. Quentin is currently trying to secure the rights to make a new version of Casino Royale, the first 007 book.
"I wanted it to be the follow-up to Pulp Fiction and do it with Pierce," he said. "From what I know of Brosnan, I think he'd want to go in the direction I'd want to take Bond, though I'm not sure the producers of the series would agree."
