Rachel Weisz found herself on the receiving end of some A-list affection, when Dustin Hoffman, John Cusack and Jeremy Piven all decided to kiss her at once. The en-masse pucker-up moment came as the four performers arrived for the premiere of their latest film, Runaway Jury, in Hollywood.
In the flick Rachel plays a mysterious woman who tries to disrupt a major court case. "Marlee isn't necessarily who you think she is so it was interesting to construct a character that was pretending to be somebody else," said the actress. "It's always exciting and challenging to try to find the mask behind the mask." The movie, which also features Tinseltown heavyweight Gene Hackman, is being tipped for major box office success.
And it looks set to be a big year for Rachel, as she has also landed a £5-million deal to star in the forthcoming Keanu Reeves' adventure Constantine. The director of Runaway Jury, Gary Fleder, says the 32-year-old's success is down to her ability to appeal to both men and women.
"In Hollywood, I think what we are missing is not women that are beautiful, but women that are beautiful and women respond to," he says. "Rachel has that wonderful beauty that's not quite perfect, it's a little off here and there. I think she's like Ingrid Bergman - women and men both feel empathic towards her."
