Rumours of a romance between Matt Damon and Training Day star Eva Mendes appear to have been confirmed after the pair were seen celebrating New Year's Eve together.
According to the New York Times, Matt and Eva rang in the New Year with Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez at a party in Las Vegas. As the clock struck midnight, the pair left onlookers in little doubt as to the nature of their relationship.
The two first met on the set of the Farrelly Brothers comedy Stuck On You last year. At the time Matt was still dating Odessa Whitmire, but he and Eva became close friends and his relationship with Odessa later came to an end.
The Oscar winner has avoided answering questions about his friendship with the actress, but Hollywood insiders are in little doubt that the two have fallen for each other. The Texan beauty, who is been hotly-tipped to become a major star in 2004, has previously appeared in such blockbusters as Once Upon A Time In Mexico and The Fast And The Furious 2.
