Jennifer Lopez has been speaking for the first time about her split from former fiancé Ben Affleck. In a magazine interview, the 34-year-old star said his love of gambling and constant arguments over where they should live had driven them apart.
"I'm extremely brokenhearted," admitted the actress. "I put enormous effort into my relationship with Ben, but in the end I realised I needed to put my personal and professional life back together."
Hollywood's favourite couple decided to go their separate ways last week after 18 months together. The pair had originally planned to tie the knot last September, but they called off the wedding, citing excessive media attention. J-Lo was still hoping to marry the actor as recently as January 6, but when he refused to set a date for the big day, the Bronx-born beauty decided to end their romance.
She has also returned the £200,000 Rolls-Royce Phantom he gave her as a birthday gift just a few months ago. According to friends Ben has asked her to keep her £700,000 pink diamond engagement ring as a memento, however.
