Always one of the most stylish red carpet guests, Oscar nominee Marcia Gay Harden did not disappoint as she stepped out for the premiere of her new film Welcome To Mooseport in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
Heavily pregnant with twins, the 44-year-old star was a vision of elegance as she stepped out in a demure empire waist gown and black cardigan for the Los Angeles debut.
After a bittersweet year, Marcia is doubly looking forward to her new arrivals. "Babies are always a good sign. I mean, life and birth and hope," she said. "These guys are twins and I've heard in other cultures that's a sign of fame and fortune. So ... I'm waiting."
The past few months have been extremely difficult for Marcia, who tragically lost her young niece Audrey and six-year-old nephew Sander two months ago in a fire at the children's New York home. And it was the loss that she was thinking about as she received news of her second Academy Award nomination.
"It's definitely weighing with me today," she said upon hearing news of her shortlist. "Audrey would have been so proud of me. She was ten and wanting to be an actress. This is a bright spot in the darkness."
