Despite sporting a cast on her leg, Ashley Judd managed to look her usual elegant self when she arrived for the premiere of her new film Twisted in Los Angeles. The actress had hurt her ankle while playing Maggie in a Broadway production of Cat On A Hot Tin Roof.
She suffered the injury during an onstage fight with hunky actor Jason Patric, who plays her fictional husband Brick. But thankfully there were some other leading men to give her a helping hand at the glitzy screening, because her costars Andy Garcia and Samuel L Jackson also came along. And just for good measure Ashley's mum, the country singer Naomi Judd, was likewise in attendance.
In the flick the 35-year-old plays a police detective who discovers her ex-boyfriends are being killed off. Needless to say, she has to be quick on her feet when the time comes to hunt down the culprit.
It seems to have been an accident-prone week in the world of celebrity, because Irish wildman Colin Farrell broke his leg on the set of his new film Alexander. And Britain's Prince Charles was pictured with a cut hand and nose after what he jokingly described as an "altercation with a hedge".
