The Seventies' hottest cops made a comeback on Thursday, when the new Starsky & Hutch movie had its premiere in Los Angeles. The film's stars Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson were joined by the original crimefighting duo, Paul Glaser and David Soul, at the screening.
Making the flick was a dream come true for Ben, who was a huge fan of the show in his youth. "I feel like I rehearsed every weekend between the ages of ten and 14," joked the actor. "I loved driving like a crazy person and not getting chastised by my wife."
In the movie he plays the uptight Officer Starsky, who has to partner up with laid-back Detective Hutchinson on a crucial case. Nailing the bad guys proves no easy task, but thankfully the pair get some help from street savvy snitch Huggy Bear, who is played by bad boy rapper Snoop Dogg.
And even the controversial hip hop star admitted to being in awe of the original Starsky & Hutch. "I dig them too, they were sharp," he enthused. "It was real cool when they came to the set. I got to take pictures with them and everything."
