Kate Beckinsale has tied the knot with the man she calls her "soulmate" at a lavish ceremony in Los Angeles. The Van Helsing star and her director love Len Wiseman made their vows in the ballroom of the Bel Air hotel, as a select group of 250 friends and loved-ones looked on.
The 31-year-old spent the day making final preparations in a suite at the exclusive venue. And staff were left in little doubt as to who was the leading lady, because she jokingly wore a tracksuit with the words "Bride To Be" emblazoned across it. After a six-hour hair and make-up session, the actress and her five-year-old daughter Lily made their entrance in the ballroom downstairs.
Once the ceremony was completed, the newlyweds made their way outside, where white gazebos had been erected for the reception. There the revellers partied into the early hours beside a secluded lake in the grounds of the hotel.
Kate and Len first met 18 months ago when they worked together on the Vampire flick Underworld. Soon afterwards the Pearl Harbor star left her then partner, Michael Sheen, to be with the filmmaker. "If you meet someone who makes you feel you'd die if you're not with them, there's not much you can do about that," she said.
